This Level 3 charger uses direct current (DC) instead of alternating current (AC).1,4 Please note, quick charge capability is only available on vehicles manufactured with the quick charge option, which includes the quick charge port. If your vehicle does not have such a port, quick charging cannot be used.

Charging your EV at home requires nothing more than plugging your EV’s electric vehicle supply equipment (the charging cable) into a dedicated standard 3-pin, 120-volt outlet.2 “Level 1 Charging” requires no special equipment and provides a slower charging cycle compared to dedicated EV charging equipment.2,4 A professionally-installed Level 2 charger uses a dedicated 240v outlet and allows for a quicker charge.3 See Owner’s Manual for charging instructions and important safety precautions.
How can I charge an electric vehicle at an apartment?
Certain residential complexes offer charging units in parking garages. Reach out to the property manager to figure out what your options are, or discover the available public chargers near you with Plugshare.1
